Marketing Coordinator - Full Time Position 

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the developed Appleridge marketing strategy - messaging, positioning, and content to be used in all external and internal branding and promotional initiatives. Additional duties include tracking sales data; maintaining promotional materials and collateral inventory; planning meetings and trade shows and luncheons; maintaining databases; preparing reports. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all new residents and family members, ensuring new residents acclimate to the community. Assists and attends all marketing events. Hours include occasional evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
• Manages “Ambassador Program” –responsible for acclimating new residents to the community. MC arranges dining seating with current residents as well as introduction to programs and activities. Provide daily follow up with new residents until they feel comfortable navigating the community.
• Manages “Safely Somewhere Program”-personally visits residents that are in the hospital or rehab facility. Provide written follow up to the marketing department on the status of the resident’s stay and details of visit.
• Assists Director of Marketing with prospective resident/family tours including scheduling and follow-up as directed. Assists with daily operation of the Marketing Department ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, including data entry updates in Insightly (CRM program).
• Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including luncheons, promotional events, open houses, trade shows and other company sponsored functions and events.
• Outreach-Acts as ambassador at chamber and other public events including business after hours, recognition events, campaigns, breakfast meetings and educational seminars.
• Responsible for maintaining contact and communication with outside referral sources in order to build solid relationships. (i.e. Senior Centers, discharge planners, financial planners, information centers, chamber offices) Provides updated information packets and collateral to referral sources in order to keep Appleridge Senior Living “Top of Mind Awareness”.
• Responsible for managing inventory of sales and marketing collateral including information packets, move-in binders, mailings, brochure drops/distribution, invitations, in-house promotional items and all marketing supplies.
• Cross Train for front desk receptionist as backup.
Requirements
• 2 year college degree preferred.
• In-house training provided, experience in customer service preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. High energy level and sense of humor essential.
• Must be able to type and use word processing software with database and spreadsheet software ability highly desirable. Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, computers, phones and fax machines. Knowledge of online services.

Job Description – Server Trainee

Part Time: 20 hours per week approximately

•This is a non-tipping position that pays the current NYS minimum wage (not food service minimum wage) and will teach you all the skills needed for a higher level serving job.

•Greets all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.

•Answers resident questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.

•Develops professional relationships with residents.

•Provides the highest level of service in accordance with our standards while performing all Job responsibilities.

•Prepares work area for either opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies food orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner.

• Other job responsibilities as needed.

• Cleans dishes whether by hand or by loading dish machine.

• Communicates with cooks to ensure resident satisfaction.

• Maintains professional relationships with all co-workers.

• Follows checklists for duties assigned by Supervisor, Director of Dining Services, or Event Coordinator.

• Buses tables.

• Maintains a professional appearance at all times.

• Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.

• Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director of Dining Services, or Event Coordinator.

• Maintains full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.

• Constantly increasing knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.

• Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.

• Clock-in ready to work, in required uniform and no earlier than five minutes prior to shift.

 Requirements 

• At least 16 years of age.

• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.

• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.

• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.

• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule.

• Excellent people skills and outgoing personality.

• Team player.

• Hard worker.

• Honest.
