Executive Director, Vice President of Operations
Michele formerly held the position of Director of Communications for the Holiday Inn Express Horseheads and Holiday Inn Elmira Riverview. Michele has experience in the senior housing industry as well as an extensive sales and business development background. Michele is active in the local community and currently is a member of the Horseheads Rotary Club. She holds an A.A.S. degree from Corning Community College in Liberal Arts.
Director of Marketing and Sales
Landy is responsible for business development as well as creating an understanding of the value of independent living to potential residents, their families and the professional community. With a background in sales, Landy joins Appleridge from WENY-TV owned by Lilly Broadcasting. Prior to her Account Executive position with WENY-TV, she spent 5 years as Department Manager of Barnes and Noble in Ithaca, N.Y. She holds an A.S. degree in Business Administration.
Director of Recreation & Wellness
Marcie has returned to Appleridge where she formerly worked as an assistant in the Recreation Department and Adult Day Club. Most recently she worked as a Recreation Director and Volunteers Coordinator at Longview in Ithaca, NY. Marcie holds a B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation from SUNY Cortland.
Director of Facilities
Dave brings years of hands-on building maintenance skills along with machine repair and troubleshooting techniques. Dave most recently worked as a Mechanical Technician for FM Howell & Company in Elmira, NY.
Director of Dining Services
Renee joined the Appleridge team in April 2017 as the Dining Room Manager and was promoted to Director of Dining Services in July 2017. Renee is responsible for overseeing the Appleridge dining room and kitchen staff, providing an elegant dining experience for residents. She also organizes all catering for both in-house and outside events. She has an extensive background in the food service industry and has held several supervisory roles throughout her food service career. Renee previously worked at Corning Inc. as a cook for one of their internal cafe's and worked many formal events.
Director of Business Development & Public Relations
Kimberly Pound joined the Appleridge team in January 2014. She held both the Marketing Coordinator and Business Development Manager position previous to her recent promotion to Director of Business Development and Public Relations. She will be responsible for managing all public relations and content delivered to ensure a consistent brand messaging as it relates to Appleridge Senior Living.
Kimberly earned her A.S. degree in Business Administration from Tompkins Cortland Community College and continued her education to receive a B.S. degree in Marketing from the State University of New York at Oswego. Kimberly has over ten years of experience in marketing and sales as an advertising representative for Syracuse New Times, The Post-Standard and the Ithaca Journal.
Business Office Manager
Alana Strope joined the Appleridge team in March of 2017 as the Accounting Assistant and was promoted to the Business Office Manager position in December 2017. Previously, she worked as an Office Manager at Black Gold Topsoil and was a Licensed Real Estate Agent for the former RealtyUSA. Alana holds an A.A.S. degree from Corning Community College in Business Administration.
